BULLHEAD CITY (AP) - Police in western Arizona's Bullhead City are looking for a man accused of repeatedly stabbing his girlfriend in the face.

Bullhead City police spokeswoman Emily Montague says the 22-year-old woman called 911 around 2 a.m. Friday in fear of her life.

The woman told police that her boyfriend, 24-year-old Julian Cruz Molina Jr., threw a rock through her apartment window to get inside and then repeatedly stabbed her face with a kitchen knife while their 2-year-old daughter and infant son were sleeping.

Molina fled, and his girlfriend was flown to a Las Vegas hospital in critical condition.

She's now stable condition in the intensive-care unit, but Montague could not say whether she was expected to survive.

Montague says police believe Molina is hiding with friends or family in the Bullhead City area and ask anyone with information to call 928-763-1999.
