Gun stolen in Skull Valley burglary

Yavapai County Sheriff's deputies investigating a burglary at a Skull Valley home along Peavine Road seek the public's help in finding a suspect and stolen items, including a Glock handgun.

Deputies said an unknown person entered a home and vehicle parked on the property between 8 p.m. Sunday and 7:30 a.m. Monday, said Dwight D'Evelyn, spokesman for the Yavapai County Sheriff's Office.

The suspects stole a Glock Model 19 9mm semiautomatic handgun with serial number YT041US. The gun had a loaded magazine and was stored in a personal size black/dark gray safe that opens with a key which was also taken, D'Evelyn said.

The suspects also stole a Limb Saver Speed Zone compound bow, a Kodak EZ Share digital camera, a portable GPS unit and a camouflage-color hunting backpack with hunting gear, D'Evelyn said.

"Detectives are still outa there continuing their investigation," D'Evelyn said Monday afternoon.
