Dress up your pets for Howl-O-Ween parade

The Yavapai Humane Society (YHS) will hold a Howl-O-Ween Pet Parade 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 23, at Memory Park in Chino Valley. The public is invited to bring their pets dressed in their finest Halloween costumes for a pet parade and costume contest, with a grand prize of a year's supply of dog food. Hot dogs, hamburgers and drinks will be provided, and YHS will be bringing dogs to the event for adoption.

The event is to raise public awareness of the YHS adoption facility in Chino Valley, which is located at 1020 Palomino Road. The public can now adopt dogs at the Chino Valley facility six days a week from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. The YHS main shelter and the Chino Valley shelter are closed Tuesdays.
