Rose G. Salgado, 85, passed away March 26, 2010, in Prescott, Ariz.

She was born March 11, 1925, in Brooklyn, N.Y., the daughter of Stanley and Teresa (Bianchino) Gialanella.

Rose worked for the Tucson Unified School District for 28 years as a cashier before her retirement. She will be remembered by her family as a loving wife, mother and grandmother who will be loved and missed dearly by her family and friends.

She is survived by her son Joseph Salgado Jr. and daughter-in-law Paula; granddaughters Jessica (Tommie) Cauthen and Melissa (Eric) Stumpf, five great-grandchildren; and two brothers, Stanley and Michael Gialanella of New York. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joe; her parents and brother Nicholas Gialanella.

A visitation for family and friends will be held on Tuesday April 6, 2010, from 5-6 p.m., with a rosary at 6 p.m., at Heritage Memory Mortuary, 131 Grove Ave., Prescott, Ariz. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, April 7, 2010, at 11 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Prescott, with committal and final farewell service to follow at Mountain View Cemetery Prescott.
