CHINO VALLEY - Police have identified Crystal M.K. Foubert as the 28-year-old Prescott Valley woman who died early Tuesday morning after her vehicle crashed into a traffic signal pole.
The cause of the accident remains under investigation, Cmdr. Mark Garcia of the Chino Valley Police Department stated in a press release.
"It was apparent that she was driving at a high rate of speed," Garcia said. "We don't know why she left the roadway. Unfortunately, we had no witnesses."
Police went at 1:30 a.m. Tuesday to the scene of a single-vehicle accident at Highway 89 and Road 2 South. They pronounced the driver of the Toyota Camry, later identified as Foubert, dead at the scene.
Officers diverted northbound traffic at the highway until 6 a.m. to complete the investigation. Chino Valley Fire District crews also responded to the accident.
