The Sept. 23 letter by Melony Massa concerning the non-profit cat rescue organization Miss Kitty's Cat House is a mean-spirited attempt to discredit a 501c3 organization that comprises many volunteers who dedicate their time and efforts to the cats that they rescue and find homes for.
Ms. Massa is a disgruntled former volunteer who left Ms. Kitty's because the non-profit organization would not pay her a salary for a position that has always been an unpaid position.
Miss Kitty's, Yavapai Humane Society, United Animal Friends, PAALS, The Lucky Club and NOAH are all great organizations that not only help to find forever homes for animals but actively promote spay and neuter programs in the tri-city area. I for one will continue to support all of the animal rescue organizations, especially Miss Kitty's.
