• AUSTRALIA - In this Baz Luhrmann-directed pre-World War II drama, an English aristocrat who inherits a sprawling ranch in northern Australia reluctantly pacts with a cattle driver in order to protect her new property from a takeover plot. Cast: Nicole Kidman, Hugh Jackman, David Wenham, Jack Thompson. Rated PG-13 for some violence, a scene of sensuality, and brief strong language.

•• BEDTIME STORIES - A hotel handyman's life is changed forever when the bedtime stories he tells his niece and nephew start to mysteriously come true. Cast: Adam Sandler, Keri Russell, Guy Pearce, Richard Griffiths. Rated PG for some mild rude humor and mild language. Comedy.

• •• BRIDE WARS - Two brides-to-be become rivals when they schedule their weddings on the same day. Cast: Kate Hudson, Anne Hathaway, Kristen Johnson, Bryan Greenberg. Rated PG for suggestive content, language and some rude behavior. Comedy.

• •• THE CURIOUS CASE OF BENJAMIN BUTTON - A man is born 80 years old, and instead of aging, he grows young. Cast: Brad Pitt, Cate Blanchett, Taraji P. Henson, Tilda Swinton. Rated PG-13 for brief war violence, sexual content, language and smoking. Drama.

• •• DEFIANCE - This World War II movie looks at the Holocaust from a unique angle, telling the true story of a group of Jews in Eastern Europe who fought back. Cast: Daniel Craig, Liev Schreiber, Jamie Bell, Alexa Davalos. Rated R for violence and brief language. Action/Adventure.

• DOUBT - A vibrant, charismatic priest, Father Flynn, is trying to upend a school's strict customs, which have long been fiercely guarded by Sister Aloysius Beauvier When Sister James suggests that Father Flynn is paying too much personal attention to a student, Sister Aloysius sets off on a personal crusade to expunge Flynn from the school. Cast: Meryl Streep, Philip Seymour Hoffman, Amy Adams, Viola Davis. Rated PG-13 for thematic material. Drama.

• •• GRAN TORINO - A grizzled Korean War vet forms an unlikely friendship with his teenaged neighbor after he catches him trying to steal his prized muscle car. Cast: Clint Eastwood, Christopher Carley, Bee Vang, Ahney Her. Rated: R for language throughout, and some violence. Drama.

• •• HOTEL FOR DOGS - Orphaned siblings are forced to give up their beloved dog when they move into a foster home. But since they can't stand to live without him, they turn a closed hotel into a home for their dog -and any other strays they can find. Cast: Emma Roberts, Jake T. Austin, Kyla Pratt, Lisa Kudrow, Rated PG for brief mild thematic elements, language and some crude humor. Comedy.

•• LAST CHANCE HARVEY - Harvey Shine is a divorced and haggard jingle-writer quickly aging out of his career. Harvey meets an airport employee having a bad day, and their trading of sob stories leads to a day of unexpected romance. Cast: Dustin Hoffman, Emma Thompson, Kathy Baker, James Brolin. Rated PG-13 for brief strong language. Drama/romance/comedy.

•• MY BLOODY VALENTINE - Ten years after the victim of a mining tragedy awoke from a coma and wreaked revenge with a pickaxe, another killer picks up where he left off... or is it his ghost? Cast: Jensen Ackles, Jaime King, Kerr Smith, Betsey Rue. Rated: R for graphic brutal horror violence and grisly images throughout, some strong sexuality, graphic nudity and language. Horror.

• •• PAUL BLART: MALL COP - As a mall security guard, Paul Blart is devoted to keeping crime and mischief out of the New Jersey shopping center where he works. When criminals take Paul's loved ones hostage, he has to use all his dubious training to save them. Cast: Kevin James, Jayma Mays, Keir O'Donnell, Bobby Cannavale. Rated PG for some violence, mild crude and suggestive humor and language. Comedy.

•• THE UNBORN - A young woman is pulled into a world of nightmares when a demonic spirit haunts her and threatens everyone she loves. She uncovers the source of a family curse dating back to Nazi Germany: a creature with the ability to inhabit anyone that is getting stronger with each possession. Cast: Odette Yustman, Gary Oldman, Meagan Good, Idris Elba. Rated: PG-13 for intense sequences of violence and terror, disturbing images, thematic material and language including some sexual references. Horror/thriller.

•• VALKYRIE - This drama, based on true events, is set at the height of World War II, when a group of high-ranking German officers hatched a plot to assassinate Adolf Hitler and seize power of the military command in order to end the war. Cast Tom Cruise, Kenneth Branagh, Bill Nighy, Terence Stamp. Rated PG-13 for violence and brief strong language. Drama.

• •• YES MAN - A man signs up for a self-help program based on one simple principle: say yes to everything.
