Stephanie Lyn Bruning and Brad Michael Young were married Oct. 4, 2008, at The Secret Gardens in the Las Vegas Racquet Club, with the Rev. David St. John officiating.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William C. Bruning of Summertown, Tenn. The groom is the son of Ms. Sandra Brunella (Young) Heiden of Dewey, Ariz., and the late Dwight Schramm Young III of New York.
The groom arrived in an antique car and the bride, escorted by her father, arrived in a horse-drawn carriage. Her gown was light gold with champagne accents. She wore her mother's cathedral-length silk illusion mantilla trimmed in Alencon lace and accented with pearls and crystals.
Following the ceremony was a reception at The Secret Garden. One of the high spots of the evening was when the bride danced with her 92-year-old grandfather.
After a honeymoon touring Peru, the couple will reside in Las Vegas, Nev.
The bride received a BA in History in 1995 and an NIA in historic preservation in 1999 from the University of Kentucky. She is employed as a planner for the City of North Las Vegas.
The groom is a 1993 graduate of the University of Arizona in Tucson where he received a BA in Media Arts. He is employed as senior editor with the Vegas Insider.
