Thomas Raush

Thomas Raush of Prescott, age 63, passed away on May 27, 2008.

A licensed real estate broker in both Arizona and California, Tom was well known in the Prescott, Phoenix and San Diego markets, primarily for his expertise in commercial and investment properties. During a career that spanned more than 30 years, Tom was at the heart of real estate activity during Prescott's transformation from a small rural community to its present status as a metropolitan area. He was a member of the National Association of Realtors and an affiliate of ERA National Realty in Arizona. Tom was a recipient of many professional awards, including ERA's Leader's Circle award in 2005.

Born in Grosse Pointe, Mich., in his youth Tom had been a freestyle swimming champion, becoming Michigan's top-ranked high school freestyle swimmer in his best year of competition. Over his lifetime, Tom also enjoyed fly-fishing and deer hunting. He first came to Phoenix from Michigan in 1970, later living and working in San Diego until his move to Prescott in 1985. Known to his friends and associates as a truly loyal friend, a giving man and good neighbor to all, Tom had been an enthusiastic participant and donor at non-profit events throughout his many years in Prescott.

Preceded in death by his parents, William and Teresa, and son Carey, Tom is survived by brothers William and Jerry (and wife Tracy); and sister Mary Jo (and husband Mark) Ducharme; his children Lorne, Thomas, Sean and Tracy; four nieces and four grandchildren.

A private memorial is planned. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Tom Raush Memorial Fund at National Bank of Arizona.
