The marriage of Cheri Lynne McKinley and Robert Carl Hanson took place in a double-ring ceremony at 3 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 16, 2007, in the First Baptist Church, Prescott, with pastor David Knight officiating.
The bride is the daughter of Jennie and Leonard McKinley, Santa Clarita, Calif., and the bridegroom is the son of Kathy and Rick Hanson, Prescott Valley.
Staci Hammerschmitt was matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Jackie McKinley, sister of the bride, and Tara Martin. Thomas Hanson, twin brother of the groom, was best man. The groomsmen were Matt Jackson and Samuel Varghese. Matthew McKinley, brother of the bride, escorted their mother down the aisle.
Susan Powell, pianist, and Kathryn May Hetzel, vocalist, presented the wedding music.
A reception following the ceremony was at the Hassayampa Inn.
The bride attended Hart High School in Newhall, Calif. After graduation she joined the U.S. Army for seven years serving in Iraq, South Korea and Germany as a Sergeant. Cheri now works for Carrabbas Restaurant in Montgomery, Ala.
The groom was born in Prescott, and has lived in Prescott Valley all his life. He attended Prescott Christian High School, and graduated from LeTourneau University in Longview, Texas, with a BS in mechanical engineering technology. He is currently working at Hyundai, Mobis, Ala.
