Marilyn Jean Thoms died on Dec. 29, 2007, in Prescott, Ariz. She was born Sept. 4, 1929, in Omaha, Neb., the daughter of Charles and Anita Payne.

Marilyn was known and loved for her Christian faith, her bright spirit, positive attitude and her ministries of service to all.

She was a dedicated member of Chapter CO, P.E.O. Sisterhood.

Those whose lives were touched by her were blessed.

Marilyn is survived by her husband, Bill; daughter Marty Murphy and her husband Mike; two granddaughters, Shannon and Allison all of Scottsdale; granddaughter Whitney Alt of Boulder, Colo.; and stepsons John and Bruce Thoms. She was preceded in death by three brothers, Harold, Dale and William, and two sons, David and John Miller.

A memorial service will be 11 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 5, 2008, at the First Church of the Nazarene, 2110 Willow Creek Road, Prescott, Ariz.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials to Heifer International, P.O. Box 8058, Little Rock, AR 72203, or YRMC Hospice, 3262 N. Windsong Drive, Prescott Valley, AZ 86314.
