Arthur James Bostwick

Arthur James Bostwick, TSgt., Retired, USAF, passed from our sight on July 29, 2005 at the VAMC in Prescott, Arizona. Born Feb. 5, 1931, in Saginaw, Mich., to Edwin and Anna Zabell Bostwick, Arthur joined the Air Force in 1951, served in Korea and retired in 1974. After retirement, Arthur worked various jobs such as appliance repairman and security guard at the Exxon Oil Spill in Valdez, Alaska. In 1959, he married his beloved wife Barbara, a loving relationship that lasted 46 years. Before moving to Arizona, they lived in Alaska for 25 years, where Art enjoyed fishing and hunting.

Art is survived by his loving and caring wife, Barbara; son Marlin and daughter-in-law Debbie, who live outside Palmer, Alaska; daughter Nova and son-in-law Scott Hogle of Canton, N.Y.; son Arthur II (AKA Jay) and fiancée Jennifer of Everett, Wash.; sister Laurella and brother-in-law Earl Shaler, Jr. of Anchorage, Alaska, as well as several loving grandchildren and great-grandchildren living in Alaska and New York.

Services will be held at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 2, at the VA Chapel in Prescott, with Chaplain Jack Unangst officiating. American Legion Post 6 will provide full military honors with Mr. Al Tercero commanding.

Arthur will be interred at the National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona with family and close friends attending. He will be missed by all.

The Hampton Funeral Home was entrusted with the arrangements.

Michael McMackin

Michael McMackin, 48, of Cottonwood, born Sept. 13, 1956, in Torrance, Calif., died Friday, July 22, 2005, in Cottonwood.

Private cremation was at Bradshaw Crematory in Prescott Valley.

Paul Erno, 90, of Prescott Valley, born Sept. 9, 1914, in Owatonna, Minn., died Monday, July 25, 2005, in Prescott Valley.

Private cremation was at Bradshaw Crematory in Prescott Valley.

Joe “Jose” Samuel Hogan, 83, of Prescott, born June 18, 1922, in Anona, Texas, died Thursday, July 28, 2005, in Prescott.
