Sherry Weekes

Sherry Weekes, age 59, born Hollywood, Calif., and died Aug. 6, 2005, in Bullhead City.

Sherry is survived by her husband, Bucko Weekes, three daughters, Patty Ann Larrimore, Chris Hilton and Annette Musgrove, and five grandchildren.

Memorial services will be held Sat. Aug. 13, at 2 p.m., in Kingman, at the First Assembly of God Church, located at 1850 Gate Avenue.

Gilbert Lee Perry

Gilbert Lee Perry died Saturday, Aug. 6, 2005, in the VA Medical Center, Prescott. Gilbert was born Dec. 19, 1948, the son of Roy L. and Jimmie Kathleen (DeBureff) Perry, Jr. in Phoenix.

He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force. He married the former Pamela Serle on March 19, 1977.

He is survived by his loving wife, Pamela of Cordes Lakes; children, Gary Nicoletti of Phoenix, Renee L. (Jose M.) Hernandez of Cordes Lakes, and Joseph R. Nicoletti of Phoenix; and by his grandchildren, Joshua R. Nicoletti, Courtney M. Nicoletti, Bryce R. Nicoletti, Adam R. Nicoletti, Joseph R. Nicoletti, Jr., Christian Lee Hernandez and Domanic R. Nicoletti; by his father, Roy L. Perry, Jr.; and his brothers, Roy L. (Linda) Perry III of Washington and Tim A. (Inga) Perry of Manteca, Calif. He was preceded in death by his mother, Jimmie K. Perry.

Memorial service is at 11 a.m., Thursday, Aug. 11th, in the VA Chapel, Prescott. Inurnment at the National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona, Phoenix.

The Arizona Wakelin Bradshaw Chapel assisted the family with arrangements.

John F. Tincher

John F. Tincher, 83, of Chino Valley, born Jan. 9, 1922, in Vail, Ore., died Saturday, Aug. 6, 2005, in Prescott.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 13, at Sunrise Funeral Home in Prescott Valley.

Elmer J. Cousins

Elmer J. Cousins, 82, of Cordes Lakes, born Aug. 13, 1922, in Cleo Springs, Okla., died Monday, Aug. 8, 2005, in Cordes Lakes.

Visitation will be from 1 to 2 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 11, at Sunrise Funeral Home, 8167 E. Highway 69, Prescott Valley.

A commemoration service in honor of Elmer will take place at 2 p.m. at the Sunrise Funeral Home with full military honors provided by American Legion Post #6, Prescott. Burial will be at the National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona in Phoenix.

Fern Briggeman

Fern Briggeman (nee Sironi), age 79, of Prescott, died Aug. 2, 2005, in Prescott. She was born Oct. 20, 1925, in Philadelphia, Penn., to Robert and Phoebe (nee Mayer) Sironi.

Fern joined the America Ballet Theatre as a teen and was a dancer on the television variety shows of Vaughn Williams and Jackie Gleason. She was a member of the June Taylor dancers.

She married William James Briggeman, an architect, in 1981, in Long Island, N.Y. William died Jan. 12, 1999.

Fern is survived by her son, John Briggeman, and daughter-in-law, Lisa.

Interment to be privately held at Glendale Cemetery in Bloomfield, N.J. Memorial services will be held next week at the Samaritan Towers. Contact Becky at 778-3302 for details.

Fern’s wry humor and caring heart will be greatly missed by her family and her many friends at Samaritan Towers.

Joseph J. Verhovec

Joseph J. Verhovec, age 90, passed away at his daughter’s home, Aug. 7, 2005, in Prescott. Joseph was born Feb. 20, 1915, in Cleveland, Ohio, to Tony and Ivana (Hren) Verhovec.

He spent many years as a fireman in San Marino, Calif.

Joseph was with Coldwell Banker in California for over 30 years, with the Commercial Real Estate Sign Division. He loved the sea, was an avid fisherman, loved to dance and, as a master gardener, tend his fruit trees.

Joseph was preceded in death by his wife, May, in 2002. He is survived by his daughters, Marilyn J. Brown of Prescott and Linda Schoenmakers of Winnetka, Ill., and grandchildren, Lisa C. Brown of Scottsdale and Laurie C. Kibler of Rancho Cucamonga, Calif. Joseph was preceded in death by his brothers, Tony Verhovec and Ottie Verhovec, and his sister, Geraldine Lizalek.

Memorial services will be held on Thursday, Aug. 11, at 10 a.m., at the Hampton Funeral Home, 240 S. Cortez St., Prescott. Eric Wade will conduct the service.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be directed to the Margaret T. Morris Adult Day Care Home Program, 878 Sunset Ave., Prescott, AZ 86305.

The Hampton Funeral Home assisted the family with the arrangements.
