Jury hands Roseberry death penalty in murder case<BR>

PRESCOTT – A jury decided Friday that Homer Roseberry, a 59-year-old convicted murderer, deserves the death penalty for the 2000 shooting death of a California man, Fred Fottler.

Roseberry is the first Yavapai County defendant to receive capital punishment by the determination of a jury rather than a judge, which is a new statutory provision that the Arizona Legislature enacted recently as a result of a U.S. Supreme Court decision.
