'ON LOCATION IN MALIBU,' paintings by the California Art Club, are on exhibit at the Phippen Museum, 4701 Highway 89 North, through Nov. 5, with 64 impressionistic works that capture scenes indigenous to the spectacular Malibu area. SHARLOT HALL MUSEUM: Visit the new "Frontier Discovery Room" in the Governor's Mansion and explore hundreds of items from daily life in 1865. Also see "The View From Thumb Butte: The Changing Townscape of Prescott, Arizona, 1864-1997," which explores the evolution of Arizona Territory's first capital and of Prescott's cultural strides and growth-induced controversies.
