Embry-Riddle Wrestling: T.Chang takes second in SoCal meet

Embry-Riddle's Tyler Chang opened the Cal State-Fullerton Open on Saturday with four straight wins, including two pins.

Stanford's Lucas Espericueta ended his hopes for the 157-pound title, though, edging Chang in the final, 6-3.

ERAU's Mitch Newcomer went 5-1 to take third at 141 pounds. He won his first two matches by major decision.

Eagles teammate Jake Dempsey went 4-2 to tie for fifth at 197.

He had two pins.

ERAU will host Grand College University on Saturday at 7 p.m.
