A 18-year-old Dewey man on a dirt bike led Prescott Valley police on a chase down town streets late Thursday night before officers arrested him.

According to police reports, the suspect, Adam Peakman, took off when a Prescott Valley K-9 unit attempted to stop him in the area of Florentine and Lake Valley for several traffic violations shortly after midnight on Thursday.

Peakman allegedly fled when the officer activated his emergency lights, riding a "wheelie" all the way down Main St. from Florentine. The officer had his emergency lights and siren on while he followed the suspect for a short distance to the fountain at Harkins.

The suspect then fled into the Albertson's parking lot in the vicinity of two pedestrians. The officer did not continue the chase into the parking lot.

Officers responded to the area in an attempt to locate the suspect. A citizen told officers that the suspect was driving recklessly and had entered the Liberty Traditional School property. The K-9 officer located him hiding behind a chain link fence.

Peakman told officers that he knew the officer was attempting to stop him but that he thought he could get away.

Peakman was booked into the Yavapai County Jail in Camp Verde for unlawful flight from law enforcement, two counts of endangerment and reckless driving.

YEAAAA! Reckless disregard for others! Let's give him a medal. All the quality motorcycle racers I know are at the race track. Do you think showing off, riding a wheelie down Main St. Prescott Valley, somehow qualifies you to race in the Dakkar Rally? Maybe he could smash a few mailboxes with a baseball bat and get signed by the Arizona Diamondbacks too.

Actually, he is one of my best friends. known him for a while. He is in fact European and is here on a green card. And he has no connection to the Fains just to make some people happy.

Are you talking about the kid or the cop, no difference as an organ is an organ, a kid dies on a motorcycle or a cop gets shot the outcome is the same. Either way the person who brought up the organ donor subject is not one of the Intelegent so lets hope he gets a brain.

Give him a free ride to school, he has talent. I used to have a AMA pro licsense, and I appreciate the boys talent. I wonder if he ran our of gas, and had to give up? WFO.

Well maybe instead of a prison we could use a dirt bike track in its place, I'm sure the Fains would donate the same plot of land, after all they want to help our community. We could call it the "Evil Fainevil motocross track".

Oh come on, nobody's going to try to blame the Fains for this? Some people seem think they're to blame for everything in PV. Go ahead, you know you want to think of some way to make it their fault.
