Prescott Valley Councilman Bob Edwards died peacefully Dec. 20 after a battle with cancer.

Dec. 22, 2004

Town of Prescott Valley officials met to decide whether to hire a financial consultant to create a feasibility report for the proposed downtown event center.

Dec. 22, 1999

The Prescott City Council and the Arizona Game and Fish Department clashed over the fate of the Willow Creek pronghorn herd during the Dec. 21 council meeting. The council adopted a resolution urging Game and Fish to leave the pronghorns where they have lived for generations. However, Game and Fish officials disagreed because they believe it is biologically inaccurate.

Dec. 22, 1984

Mesa High School claimed a 73-68 basketball victory over Prescott High School in the championship game of the Peaks Invitational Tournament in Flagstaff Saturday night. The Badgers were the tournament's defending champions.

"A collection of weapons used in local crimes has been permanently mounted for exhibit and is now on display at the Prescott Police station."
