The Dewey-Humboldt Town Library, 2735 S. Corral St., is inviting children ages 4 to 7 to a story and activity time presentation called "A Thanksgiving Squirrel Surprise" from 10 to 11:15 a.m. this Saturday.
This program will take place at the Kate Garber Activity Center next to the library.
Participants will get to sing songs and read stories about squirrels and play a "Pin the Tail on the Squirrel" game while looking for acorns.
Kids also can create their own nutty squirrel game and build a squirrel glider plane while snacking on Thanksgiving treats. Parents are invited.
Heidi Remakel, the library's story and activity time coordinator, will present the program.
Parents who want to register their children for the event should drop by the library or call the complex at 632-5049.

The Friends of the Dewey-Humboldt Town Library will end its book sale this week.
The sale, which features gift-quality books that can make for nice Christmas gifts, will occur on the lower floor of the library in the newly dedicated J.W. Mitchell Room.
Folks can attend the event from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. today and Saturday.
All money from the sale will support the library. Friends of the Library members can get into the sale a half an hour earlier than the times listed above. Non-members who want to get in early can join the Friends during early admission.
The Friends of the Library sponsors all activities at the library, which is open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. (closed for lunch from noon to 12:30 p.m.) on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays; 12:30 to 7 p.m. on Thursdays; and 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturdays.
