The correct answer for this past week's "What is it, where is it?" is: the spotlight tower at the Prescott Airport, the old one that was next to Legend Aviation. Our hint was: "Fly right and shine bright." At the end of the month, we'll put all of the names of the weekly "What is it, where is it?" winners together and one will win a prize from the Courier's prize stash. The winner - with the first, correct answer - this past week is Chuck Mostert. Congratulations, Chuck. The Courier did not receive any incorrect answers from this past week. Keep guessing, and remember to give "what" it is and "where" it is.

The correct answer for the Oct. 13 "What is it, where is it?" was: The sculpture made out of vehicle parts in front of the Electric Hog, 211 N. Granite St. Our hint was: "You can't drive it - but, if you could, it would be a hog." The winner - with the first, correct answer - was Ann Routh of Paulden. Congratulations, Ann. Incorrect answers included "exhaust valves from a Harley." |

The Daily Courier's Community Page on Tuesdays features "What is it, where is it?" - photos from the local area that we encourage readers to figure out.
The first person to call or e-mail with the correct answer will get their name in the paper the next week along with a more easily recognizable photo of the same scene.
Each winner's name will go into a drawing for a prize that month. Correct respondents will be eligible for the prize only in the month in which they answer correctly.
Please call Managing Editor Tim Wiederaenders at 445-3333, ext. 1095, or e-mail twieds@prescottaz.com with your guess.
Be sure to include a contact number and where you live (Prescott, Prescott Valley, Chino Valley, etc.).
