Thann Tolman and Shelley Mehus, co-chairmen of Lonesome Valley Quilt Guild's upcoming Holiday Boutique, display a portion of the items (at left) that will be for sale at the event from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday and Saturday, Nov. 13-14, at Mountain Valley Church of God, 8123 E. Manley Drive, Prescott Valley.
The Holiday Boutique is a fundraiser for LVQG to benefit their efforts in providing quilts and essentials for the various area charity groups that LVQG has supported, such as Community Pregnancy Center, Trauma Intervention Program (TIPS), Arizona's Children's Association, Stepping Stones, Veterans' Hospital, Yavapai Food Bank, Humboldt Unified School District, Margaret T. Morris Center, Meadow Park Care Center, PAWS, Meals on Wheels, and the Yavapai Education Service Agency. So far in 2009, LVQG has donated 92 quilts and blankets and 220 pounds of non-perishable food and personal care items to the food bank.
