Leisa Burdine shares some close-up photos of a new mural by The Prescott Downtown Mural Project at the Prescott Public Library. The 1,000-square-foot mural, "Beyond Words, was dedicated Saturday, September 26, 2009. It stretches along a retaining wall on the south side of the library, a project that represents the artistic work of more than 800 volunteers who devoted two years of their talent to honor Prescott's literary history. The mural reflects 6,000 years of innovation, from the oral tradition to the written word and beyond.

Fighting to more thoroughly erase the memory of a decade of loses against their cross-town rivals, the Bradshaw Mountain High School football team has turned it on again. The Bears downed the Prescott Badgers 26-18 Friday night at Bill Shepard Field to bump off PHS for the second time in three years.
