Gateway Baptist Church has moved to 12900 Prescott Dells Road in Dewey-Humboldt. The public is invited to come by, visit, meet the pastor and the church family, get your questions answered, explore the new facility and learn about the ministries. The open house is from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday. There will be refreshments and a gift bag. The church is located at Highway 69 and mile marker 280. The Center for Spiritual Living, 3755 Willow Creek Road in Prescott, presents Terry Furlong in concert 1:30 p.m. Sunday. Furlong will be featured soloist at both the 9:30 and 11:15 a.m. services as well. There will be a community potluck at 12:30 p.m., just before the concert, after the second service. On Sunday, from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m., Mountain View Baptist Church will host a gospel music concert with The Hahner Family Band, a group of 10 that plays gospel and bluegrass music. Refreshments will follow the concert. Admission is free but a love offering will be accepted.

Former Prescott City Council member Lindsay Bell will speak to the Prescott UU Fellowship at this Sunday's 10 a.m. service. Bell earned a bachelor of science degree in sociology and a master's degree in public administration. After working more than 30 years in the nonprofit sector, she retired from full-time employment in 2008 and currently volunteers with the nonprofit transportation company, Territorial Transit Inc., which is working with other agencies in the central Yavapai area to establish a regional public transit system.



Judian Society celebrates Mass every Tuesday evening at 5 p.m. at Sr. Peter's House of Prayer, 2108 Bullis Lane, Prescott. Judian Society is hosting a women's retreat March 23 - 25 in Prescott. The retreat is based on the book "The Hook and I," dealing with temptation and spiritual development. Overnight accommodations at one of Prescott's finest hotels are available. Temple B'rith Shalom will be the quad-cities host for the nationwide Shabbat Across America event on Friday evening, March 2, at 2077 Brohner Way in Prescott. Coordinated annually by the National Jewish Outreach Program, Shabbat Across America unites hundreds of synagogues across the continent to take part in Shabbat, which unifies all Jews. The temple will celebrate Shabbat Across America with a family service at 6 p.m., beginning with a Welcome Oneg at 5:15 p.m. You're invited to bring your unaffiliated Jewish friends and neighbors. Local award-winning producer Thomas E. Thomas has come back to Access 13 TV with a new presentation from the Bible dealing with the Book of Revelations and the "end times." The Wednesday Lenten services at Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church, 1202 Green Lane in Prescott, continue from Feb. 29 through March 28 at 4:30 and 6:30 p.m. with a light soup supper served at 5:30 p.m. Maundy Thursday, April 5, and Good Friday, April 6. Easter Vigil services will be 6:30 p.m. April 7; and Easter Sunday services will be at 8:15 and 11 a.m. April 8. An Easter breakfast buffet will be served from 9:30 to 11 a.m. and costs $6 per adult and $3 for children under 12. The public is welcome.

On Saturday, March 31, from noon to 2 p.m., there will be a Children's Easter Activity Day. This will include egg coloring, crafts, games, songs and the annual Easter Egg Hunt. Call 778-9122.



Saving Grace Lutheran Church, 2607 S. Highway 89 in Chino Valley, invites all Lutherans to worship during the Lenten and Easter Season. Lenten services are 6:30 p.m. each Wednesday through March 28 with a soup supper at 6 p.m. For information, call 636-9533.



During Lent, through March 29, St. Luke's Episcopal Church, 2000 Shepherd's Lane in Prescott, will offer up prayers at the Stations of the Cross, beginning at 8:30 a.m. each Thursday. This is a reflective/meditative service following the final footsteps of Jesus as he approached the site of the crucifixion. For additional information, call 778-4499.



Mile High Worship Center will host a performance by the band Brothers' Keepers 7 p.m. Friday, March 2, at 7605 Long Look in Prescott Valley. Prescott Valley Aglow "Lighthouse of Hope" meets at 10 a.m. Saturday, March 3, at Sun Gate Villa, 3850 Civic Drive, in the second building. The speaker will be Theresa DeSoto. Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church is continuing its Community Information Seminars 10:30 a.m. to noon Thursday, March 8, with Debbie Stewart. Judian Society hosts its bi-monthly Cenacle at Sacred Heart Parish in the lower level forum, 150 Fleury Ave., Prescott. St. Patrick's Eve Dinner, presented by Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church in conjunction with Thrivent Financial for Lutherans, will be at 6 p.m. Friday, March 16, at the church, 1202 Green Lane, Prescott. Prescott First Church of the Nazarene, 2110 Willow Creek Road, Prescott, presents "Bad Girls of the Bible." Women everywhere marvel at those "good girls" in scripture - Sarah, Mary, Esther - but what about Jezebel, Lot's wife and Delilah? Learn about 10 "other women" in the Bible. Learn from their mistakes and, by God's grace, choose a better path.

Chris Boelter, the teaching leader, will not only motivate you to study the Bible during this 10-week study, but she will also challenge you to wrestle with it until it becomes part of your everyday life.

GriefShare is a seminar and support group for people grieving the loss of someone close. Each GriefShare session includes a video seminar and group discussion. The videos feature top experts on grief recovery, and real-life stories of those who have experienced losses. The group uses a workbook, which assists with note-taking, journaling and grief study. The non-denominational GriefShare group meets at Prescott Christian Church 501 Senator Highway, Room 202, Saturdays at 10 a.m., beginning March 3, for 13 weeks. There are so many jobless, homeless and hungry people out there, and prayer is the only thing that will get our country back on track.
