Rodeo season is upon Prescott once again, and my hackles will bristle during the rodeos grand entrance. Each year I've attended the rodeo I take a pair of binoculars - not just to see the animal athletes and cowboys, but to zero in on the worst offenders with bad horse bridles!
I have two pet peeves that torment me. The first is watching a horse gallop at full speed with the cheek strap chaffing the corner of his eye. Poor-fitting or bad bridle design just irritates the heck out of me. Next to a horse's legs, his eyes are the most important - why torment him so?
So go back to the rodeo grounds Sept 21-23 and check out the Tack Swap during Equifest. Your four-legged friend will appreciate it!
Oh, and the second pet peeve? Those darn deer lawn ornaments with their antlers screwed on wrong - AAGGHHH !
