The 2008 issue of Prescott College's literary magazine "Alligator Juniper" received the AWP Director's Prize for Undergraduate Literary Magazines for the third time in the magazine's 13-year history.
AWP (Association of Writers and Writing Programs) is the main professional organization for creative writing in academia.
The 2008 issue is available now, with the 2009 issue available in July.
The magazine features contemporary poetry, fiction, creative writing, and black-and-white fine art photography. The "Alligator Juniper" accepts submissions from writers at all levels, especially emerging and early-career writers.
"Alligator Juniper" is available at the Prescott College Library, which is open to the public as a member of the Yavapai County library network.
