The Daily Courier

Prescott Valley Police arrested a Prescott Valley man on April 20 in the 3200 block of Robert Road on various charges including marijuana for sale.

An officer stopped Jim Burns, 60, and immediately smelled marijuana. Burns let the officer search his vehicle. The officer found approximately a half-pound of marijuana, packaging material and a scale inside of a bag.

Police arrested Burns on charges of possession of marijuana for sale, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of a firearm in a drug offense.

Police also searched Burns' residence and found a pound and a half of marijuana, a loaded .380 handgun and numerous items of drug paraphernalia.

They found nine 5-ounce jars of marijuana butter in the refrigerator. Marijuana butter is a combination of ordinary household butter and a cooked-down version of marijuana.

""edit"" if you're a teenager what's easier to get? Beer or pot?? Trust me I was a teenager growing up in prescott and pot is way more easier to get then beer. If they put a 21 age limit on it like beer,,kids would have a way harder time getting it. As it is now your local pot dealer will sell to anyone. And not to mention the jail population would dramatically decrease and the taxes off pot could cure the deficit.

Poor guy. And just think some prescott judge will sentence him to 10 years in prison, wasting all our tax money. WHEN IS AMERICA GOING TO WAKE UP. LEGALIZE POT. TAX IT, REGULATE IT. If you're what's easier to get? Beer or pot??
