Flagstaff business owner Preston Korn said Friday he is seeking Arizona's Congressional District One seat.
Korn is a Republican. He owns Safe Access, a service that lets computer users block pornographic content on the Internet, and Star Web Management, a website design and management company.
He ran unsuccessfully for a District 2 Arizona House seat in 2006, receiving 16 percent of the vote.
"If we continue to send people to Washington who care more about staying in office and the next election rather than the next generation and honestly pursuing solutions to challenges, we will continue down a dangerous path which leads away from liberty," Korn said.
Korn, who has lived in Arizona for 14 years, said the culture of corruption in Washington and the process of trading votes for favors and favors for votes is affecting the health of this district. Korn added that, as a father, he also is concerned about how today's decisions will affect children. He believes Washington is mortgaging our children's future and legislating away our freedoms.
