The Daily Courier
WALKER - A house fire on East Walker Road on Oct. 15 was intentionally set, and YCSO detectives are asking for information, a sheriff's spokesman said.
The fire, in the 3000 block, was reported by a resident who was returning home at about 4:30 p.m. It gutted the house, which was not occupied at the time, said Dwight D'Evelyn, YCSO spokesman. It was not originally a criminal matter, he said, but further investigation has raised detectives' suspicions.
It appears the house was subsequently burglarized on Oct. 18, and again early on the19th, he said. Detectives are trying to determine if the burglaries are related to the fire.
