Tons of food in our area is wasted every year – food that could be used to support groups that are feeding the hungry. Learn about food recovery through the film Just Eat It and then hear from organizations in the Prescott area that are working to use edible food that would otherwise end up in a landfill to feed hungry people. Shea Richland of the Quad City Food Recovery Program and Bob Painter of the Food Neighbors Project will introduce the work of their organizations, followed by the film and a question and answer session. Popcorn will be served and all attendees are encouraged to contribute to the event's food drive by bringing a shelf stable food item. Donations will go to the Prescott Community Cupboard.
