YBBBS Child of the Week: Michael

By YAVAPAI BIG BROTHERS BIG SISTERS
Special to the Courier

Meet Michael. He is 11 years old and in the fourth grade. Michael is very outgoing, kind, polite and really smart. He enjoys the outdoors and sports as well as intellectual interests. Michael says he is best at running and reading. Most of all, he loves to go camping.

Michael is a big reader and enjoys the "Harry Potter" series. His favorite movies are "Lord of the Rings," "Star Wars" and "Harry Potter." He watches a lot of TV and likes "SpongeBob" and "Scooby-Doo." He also likes playing video games and playing Rock Band with his friends. In his free time, Michael is into paper folding and drawing.

When he grows up, Michael plans on going to college, getting a good job and having a nice family. He wants to be a policeman. He likes school and is getting mostly As and Bs. Michael has a lot of friends.

Michael is being raised by his single dad. His father says that Michael is a good kid and that he would benefit from having a Big Brother to spend some one-on-one time with. Michael would make a great Little Brother for any Big Brother, especially one who has some intellectual interests and likes to hike, camp, fish and other outdoor recreation.

Join Yavapai Big Brothers Big Sisters today by becoming a Big Brother or Big Sister to a young person like Michael. Just a few hours a couple of times a month is all it takes to change a life. Contact Yavapai Big Brothers Big Sisters at 778-5135 or online at www.azbigs.org.
