The Daily Courier
Prescott police continue to investigate a fight that started in Moctezuma's Bar in the early-morning hours of Sunday, Nov. 15, and spilled onto the street where three people suffered stab wounds.
"The investigation is ongoing," said Lt. Clayton Heath, public information officer for the Prescott Police Department.
A woman who was stabbed told police that she and her friends had been dancing in the bar when a man they did not know bumped into them repeatedly, Heath said. The women asked him to stop and leave them alone, but he didn't, and a fight ensued.
Once outside, the man and his girlfriend approached the woman and her friends in front of the bar and they started fighting again, Heath said. The woman said the man hit her in the ribs and she realized she had been stabbed, according to the police report.
About 10 to 30 people fought outside the bar, the bouncers told police. After the fight, those involved scattered in different directions.
The stabbing victim told police the man who stabbed her is Hispanic with a shaved head and a small mustache. She said he was wearing a gray hoodie-style sweatshirt and Dickie-brand khaki pants. She also told police the girlfriend is Hispanic with bleached blond hair and was wearing a red shirt.
Police released descriptions of the suspect and his girlfriend, but no one - including officers and taxi companies - reported any contact with the suspects, Heath said.
The bouncers brought the injured woman inside and called for medical help, Heath said. The injured woman sought treatment for her stab wound at Yavapai Regional Medical Center West and went to Flagstaff Medical Center by helicopter for further treatment.
Another man and woman who apparently knew the stabbing victim and spoke to police officers at the scene also received treatment for stab wounds at Yavapai Regional Medical Center East in Prescott Valley.
Anyone with information about the suspects or the incident should call Det. Ryan Hobbs with the Prescott Police Department at 777-1920.

Has anyone been to Moctezuma's and there had not been a fight? Didn't think so.

As expected
Why is it that they ALWAYS bring a knife to a fist-fight? Oh, wait, I just thought of the answer.

A little late isn't it to be asking for help. Why not sooner?

Wild West
Welcome to the wild west! This is probably what it was like back in the 1800's with 10-30 people streaming out of a bar for a drunken fight on the street. Maybe the re-enactors could repeat this event at the next Frontier Days.

Wait a minute...
I thought it was illegal to carry a concealed weapon while you... Oh never mind. I forgot, criminals don't have to worry about our silly laws. I hope those injured recover, and the thugs involved are found.
