The Prescott Antique Auto Club hosted its 34th annual car exhibition, parts exchange and old engine fire-up at Watson Lake Park. In addition to original cars, modified cars and trucks, show officials also welcomed owners of vintage motorcycles, motor scooters, whizzers and tractors to participate.

During a study session, Prescott Valley Town Council members considered the odds of receiving federal money to build landscaped medians on the middle of Highway 69.

The Shire of St. Joseph of the Mountains, a sanctuary of rock pathways built by volunteers along the crevices of granite boulders and around stalwart oak trees, has welcomed visitors to the Yarnell area for the past 60 years.

The entire city of Prescott was without power for about 20 minutes when the jumpers on a 69,000-volt line at the Willow Lake substation were hit by lightning.

"The Sheriff's office is investigating the fourth death in the Ash Fork-Seligman area since Saturday. A man's body was found in the Smith Butte area south and west of Ash Fork last night by cowpunchers. Officers said they have no identification."

"Living up to their promise of last week, Prescott city authorities announced that the ban on the use of water, which has been in effect for more than at month, would be loosened as of tomorrow, and automobile owners would be permitted to wash their cars and the irrigation of lawns and flowers would be allowed during a two-hour period each night, from 7 until 9 o'clock."

"While leaving his residence in the Carter tract yesterday morning, G. H. Bishop, deputy county recorder, noticed a dog approaching his house at a lively rate and, believing it was mad, shot and killed it. The animal was later examined and its glands found to be swollen to an unusually large size, being evidently afflicted with rabies."
