Sheriff's deputies arrested Spring Valley resident Bradley Grantham, 20, Sunday on charges of being a felon in possession of a firearm, resisting arrest, taking control of a credit card from another and theft of property.
In a press release, deputies said they went to a home in the 20700 block of Marble Canyon Way in Cordes Lakes to investigate an anonymous report of narcotics activity.
When they arrived, they found Grantham with a black handgun wedged between the seats of his car. Deputies said the gun was loaded and Grantham was on probation with a prior felony conviction. As a result, Grantham isn't allowed to have a firearm.
During a check of Grantham's vehicle prior to it being towed away, deputies located credit cards and a sheet of bank checks, none of which were in Grantham's name.
Deputies also found a piece of paper with a PIN and credit card confirmation number on it and a digital camera, coins and jewelry in a black beanie hat.
Deputies said the investigation is ongoing.
